Recently, I've taken a liking to creating art on my iPad, specificity on a program called SketchBook Pro. I tried out the free version, and almost immediately bought the full version (which cost about $5.00, if I remember correctly.) It took me a while to get the hang of drawing with my finger, as I would typically use a pencil, but it didn't take too long for it to start feeling more natural (although my pointer finger would occasionally start to hurt after drawing for extended periods of time.) At this point, my digital art is not nearly up to par with my pencil art, but I hope that in time I will be able to do both equally well. There are

I totally get that photography is a legitimate art form, but some of the photos I see on here make me think, 'Bitch, get your ass back to Instagram.' Taking a stupid selfie and adding a filter does not make you an artist. I just needed to vent, this is pissing me off.

I hate drawing backgrounds, but they're kind of a must for a professional looking piece. Right now I'm working on a couch with a large clock next to it. Furniture is tedious, lots of measuring and straight lines. If you can freehand furniture, consider me jealous! I personally find organic things like people, animals, nature, ect. much easier to draw than man made objects like cars, furniture and buildings.
